Victoria (Vikki) Brown

Getting Started for Authors Facilitator

Vikki Brown is the founder of V.A. Brown Consulting, a consulting firm dedicated to helping managers, especially women of color achieve the skills and practices to “Get it Right from the Start” ™.

Her career spanned several industries including the military, private industry and city government and after retiring, she created her business to instill the knowledge and skills she had learned over the years. She holds a B.A from William Woods University and an MPA from Walden University.

1. How did you come to work with PYP?

I met Jenn at an NGLCC conference in Las Vegas. We did a walk and talk to discuss writing my memoir.

2. What do you enjoy the most about your work?

Creating workshops and doing 1:1 coaching. I love it when I see the light come on in someone eyes and I know that they really understand how they can be a better manager.

3. What are your favorite books or genre?

My favorite book is Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. My favorite genre is anything written by Agatha Christie and all things Sherlock.

4. How do you spend your free time?

Video Gaming.

5. If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, who would it be?

Elizabeth I.

6. What is one thing very few people know about you?

I dream in color with all of senses present.

7. How would you define your purpose?

To influence people to be good world citizens.
