A Q&A with the Publish Your Purpose Team

1. How did you come to work with PYP?

I have been looking for something unique that would allow me to bring my love of the creative field to my work.

2. What do you enjoy the most about your work?

I like the feeling of completing tasks. I also find that there is a lot of creativity in project management and I really enjoy solving complex and novel problems.

3. What are your favorite books or genre?

I enjoy a decent mix of fiction and non-fiction. My favorite non-fiction book is Hideous Progeny: Disability, Eugenics, and Classic Horror Cinema, an eye opening look into America’s long and disturbing relationship with eugenics through the lens of movies. For fiction, I recently finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy and I really enjoy his work.

4. How do you spend your free time?

I like making complicated and elaborate recipies, doing arts and crafts with my friends and weekly bar trivia.

5. If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, who would it be?

Nicolas Cage. Yes, that Nicholas Cage.

6. What is one thing very few people know about you?

As a kid in Florida my family went to Disney World or Universal Studios every month for years. I don’t mention this because outside Florida people tend to associate that with being extremely wealthy (very much not the case) or simply find it a bit gauche.

7. How would you define your purpose?

I think in both my career and personal life my goal is to help others.
