We're still absolutely obsessed with skincare fridges, and we're not quite sure how we ever survived without them. Sometimes when you wake up in the morning your skin is still very much asleep, and when you're trying to get ready in a pinch the last thing you want is a puffy face that even the best jade roller can't fix. Pop your skincare in a miniature skincare fridge and you've got a sure fire wake-up call.
Storing your skincare products in a fridge isn't only possible, but it could actually benefit your skin, too. The idea of applying an ice-cold face mask, moisturiser or face oil to your sleepy complexion sounds like just the ticket for a refreshing appearance first thing, doesn't it? Plus, it's a well-known fact that there are tonnes of cold shower benefits - so lowering the temperature of your beauty products should surely have the same effect.

Yes, you could technically just pop your products straight into the kitchen fridge alongside your food, but where’s the fun in that? In fact, a skincare fridge could also be the organised storage solution for all of your overflowing products that won’t fit in the cupboard.
In the words of Marie Kondo, 'Keep only those things that speak to your heart. Then take the plunge and discard all the rest'. And the idea of a skincare fridge is very much speaking to our hearts.
From serums to toners (not to mention all the masks) skincare products spill out of cabinets and fill up our shelves - often much to the annoyance of our other halves/flat mates. And since all of these products serve a separate need, cutting down just doesn’t feel possible - and that’s where the skincare fridge comes in.

Considering the fact that the labels on most of our skincare products advise that we store them in a cool, dark place a small, mini fridge could be just the location to keep formulas potent and our skin cool, calm and collected.
We see them all over Instagram and there’s no doubt they provide the perfect storage solution for our ever-growing skincare collections but do they really work and could they be our summer beauty solution?

Do you really need a skincare fridge?
Many skincare products can be stored at room temperature without any problems, so you don't really need one. That said, adding a cooling step to your routine can have many benefits.
Applying cold face creams and eye creams to your skin can help to reduce puffiness, tighten pores and calm sensitivity. On top of that, you can get the most out of your products thanks to these hideouts from the heat keeping our ingredients fresher for longer, especially important for natural products.

What are the best skincare fridges to buy?
Although any micro-fridge will do, we love this six litre mini fridge, found on Amazon, with a mirror and LED front - perfect for ensuring you get those products on just right.
